As a child, was it your dream to become a model?
No, I never thougmodellingmodelling. I always dreamt of becoming a teacher, a mother, and later a grandmother (Laughs, E.D.). But I was scouted a few times and thought, “Why not give it a try?”.
Now that you are one, what’s the dream you keep in your heart today?
When it comes to modelling, my dream is to be on the cover of Vogue.

Has modelling helped you overcome any insecurities?
Yes, definitely. As a child I was very shy, but modelling has helped me overcome that a lot.
Every career has its highs and lows. Has there ever been a moment that made you question if you could keep going?
Yes, right after Covid. It was really hard to get jobs, and I barely did any shoots or shows. I thought, “If it’s not working anymore, maybe it’s time to stop and focus on something else.” But deep down I knew that wasn’t what I wanted. I felt there was still more waiting for me.

You’ve probably discovered how many different types of professionals work behind-the-scenes on fashion campaigns and runway shows. If you weren’t a model, which role would you love to take on?
I think maybe producer or set manager. I like everything to be on time and well arranged. I also love planning and making little to-do lists, so I think that role would suit me well (Smiles, E.D.).
Staying on this topic, is there a particular creative you’d love to collaborate with?
That’s a difficult question because there are so many talented people in this industry. But I really like the work of Chris Philippo, so it would be amazing to collaborate with him.

Life as a model is often hectic and full of last-minute changes. How do you manage the unexpected?
Sometimes it’s hard to manage everything, and at the beginning it was a bit of a struggle. I think the best mindset is to live day by day, because every week can look completely different from what you expected. And when something happens last minute, I just tell myself, “Alright, let’s do it,” and I don’t overthink it.
When you’re on set, is there something you need to lift your mood?
I usually go to the studio with a positive mindset, telling myself it’s going to be a good day. But if I’m not in the mood, a good cup of coffee on set can already make me feel better. It’s the simple things.

What’s one item you always carry in your bag that you couldn’t live without?
My Laneige lip mask. I can’t stand having dry lips.
