What did you want to be as a kid?
As a kid, I always wanted to be a visual artist. I remember spending hours drawing comics from my favourite cartoons, designing posters for my bedroom wall, or even building little sculptures made out of paper and shoe boxes. I’ve always been very crafty.
Who did you look up to growing up?
The women in my family. They taught me about resilience and strength.

Do you believe in destiny?
We’re all meant to find our place in life, sooner or later. I think life has something prepared for each one of us, and our mission is not to get caught off guard when opportunities come up. Luck and destiny are nothing if you haven’t worked hard when they come.
What’s the best-kept secret in fashion?
Attitude is everything. Not body, not face. A strong attitude sells magic.

‘Y’ by Yves Saint Laurent is a must before I leave home.
What’s your least favourite food?
That’s a tough question…but I’d say chickpeas in any form.

Do you have a secret dream?
As a kid, I fantasised about being a performer on stage, and I still do. Being up on a stage and insync with a crowd must be a wonderful experience.
What’s your favourite song?
Amy Macdondald’s ‘This Is the Life’ is a song that has been stuck in my head since the first day I heard it in the car with my mum. It brings back so many memories.
