Creed – Wishing on a Shooting Star

Wishing on a Shooting Star

Billions of years ago, before our planet existed, the universe was a very lonely place. In fact, cosmic dust was pretty much all one would’ve been able to see floating in the atmosphere. Made of energy and celestial matter, Centaurus and Delphinus were the first to grace the skies and force their presence on the cosmos. Kings and cursed lovers, they shared the same amber-coloured eyes, but their souls and natural inclinations were different. Centaurus was fiery, strong and relentlessly wild, whereas Delphinus was tender, just like the caress of the night stars on the skin of a bathing virgin. These kings of the cosmos were separated at birth and destined to never look into each other’s eyes again, but that didn’t stop them from falling in love. One night Delphinus, who’d been dreaming of Centaurus and the day he’d see him again for ages, shed a tear as pure as crystal that soon turned into a star and sent it across the sky to remind his other half that he’d always have a piece of him. Centaurus shed a tear too and blew the two stars to planet Earth, for their love to become a symbol of endless hope.
