TRIENNALE – MILANO
Timberland’s Yellow Boot is 50 years old and looks younger than ever.
When you hear ‘tan boot’ you immediately think of Timberland: this is how iconic the Original Timberland® Boot is.
Remaining faithful to their mission, which is ‘to inspire and equip those who have the adventure in their hearts to get involved and change the world together’, the global outdoor and workwear brand has collaborated with six visionary creatives to reimagine its ‘piece de resistance’.
First introduced in 1973, the boots have been reinterpreted by the knitwear developer, technician and footwear designer Suzanne Oude Hengel and that’s how The Timberland® x Future73 Knit 6- Inch were born. This is the first ever knitwear version of the boots, as well as the first collaboration of the series, and will be shown with an equally astonishing AI installation, from the 17th to the 23th of April 2023 at the Salone d’Onore of Triennale Milano.
Powered by Ouchhh, a global creative new media studio based in Istanbul, the installation merges technology, design and fashion to communicate the traditional values, the evolution and new horizons of Timberland.
Defying historical symbols, bringing new twists to the culture and showing the possibility of a new reality is what fashion should do. And we’re totally here for it!
To celebrate the 50th anniversary of the iconic boots, Timberland joined forces with Suzanne Oude Hengel and Ouchhh studio for the first chapter of the FUTURE73 VISIONS Series. Discover it at the Salone d’Onore of Triennale Milano, during Salone del Mobile 2023!
