April 18th, 2023 is the day that officially marks Marni’s landing in product design.
‘Landing’ in a metaphorical sense, because the brand captained by Francesco Risso has steered its creative courses toward the most contrasting fields, but without ever landing in a safe harbour. Always faithful to those chameleon-like visions of colour that distinguished itself, Marni opens the Salone del Mobile with a soft, delicate and floral tableware collection in collaboration with SERAX. The ’Midnight Flowers’ collection, consisting of 120 creations, is a perfect marriage of the pure porcelain white that, like a drawing sheet, accommodates watery and colourful illustrations of garlands, grass stems and fleshy flowers.
It’s complemented by a series of striking wallpapers designed for LONDONART. The choice is wide: 14 types of visions with evocative names. From the yellow and ice hues of ’Callas’ to the more Pre-Raphaelite ones of ’Liberdad’, to the pop explosions of ‘Fantasia’ and the more rigorous ones of ‘Nostalgia’, this wallpaper collection boldly sets out to dress the walls as if they were bodies, effectively making our home an extension of our essence.
Both collections will be unveiled through an experiential installation that will be open to the public from April 19th, at Viale Umbria 42, Milan.
